Paradise!!!

Hey everyone. Thanks for stopping by. Recently we've spent a lot of time under the sun (the weather has been unbelievable, averaging over 85 degrees!) and enjoying the last couple weeks here. We have two more weeks of class which will be intense studying followed by a week tour across Greece to Athens and then five days on the islands!! Here are pictures from our Excursion to Parga and our weekend trip to the crazy island of Corfu!Here we are in Necromanteio were people would go and talk to the dead and the oracle for advice.

Here are the girls who decided to go swimming in Parga. The city of Parga is absolutely breathtaking. The water was a little cold but it was worth it.

We swam out to that island walked around. On that island is a tiny church and an amazing view. We ended up jumping off and swimming back.

We also took a trip to the Gates of Hades. This is the river where people would go before they entered the gates to Hell - our professors were really into this...

And of course Alina had to jump in. I was already in my swim suit and it was hot. I couldn't help it - the peer pressure got to me!

All in all I had an amazing three day weekend and am ready to start studying for my tests and writing my papers. I return with a tan and an injured toe :)

Meteora and Cinco de Mayo!

Here are some pictures from our last excursion to Meteora and our Cinco de Mayo celebration! Because Greeks do not celebrate Cinco de Mayo, the American's decided to bring the celebration to Greece. We found a Mexican restaurant, put on the sombreros and ordered the burritos!

Zagori and Thessoloniki!

The past couple of days have been quite amusing. We were on TV here in Ioannina and went to the Zagori villages, they are villages inside hills. We also went to the biggest canyon in the world! This weekend a couple us went down to Thessaloníki which is a beautiful town, the second largest in Greece. They even had a couple Starbucks'! Here are some more pictures...
